It was listed in the inventory but I didn't make any notes. My guess is that it is from a raffle.

The tag listed it as a Miltonia. When I saw the flowers I felt that it couldn't be right, they looked much more like an oncidium. It turns out that it is both.

When it comes to orchid hybrids the Royal Horticultural Society is the best source of information. Even there I have to be careful due to the naming wars going on.

To get around the conflict I search by grex name. In this case I started with "Rippling Delight". There was only one listing under the Genus "Oncidium", a hybrid of Oncidium fuscatum x Oncidium schroederianum

I looked up both species and found that both had been listed as Miltopnia at one point and one of them still is listed that way. I am going to take the easy way out and rely on the RHS.
