Brassavola nodosa

Brassavola nodosa - Flower photo by Richard LindbergBrassavola nodosa - Plant photo by Richard LindbergThe Brassavola nodosa division has bloomed. Actually "division" is too grand a description. It is a "trimming". The piece was removed from the mother plant as part of shaping it, getting rid of what looked funny.

I mounted it and put it in similar conditions to the mother plant. I am happy because I have killed a couple of Brassavola nodosa in the past and had decided I couldn't grow them. But after seeing a happy plant I was able to find the right microclimate in my greenhouse.
