Ascocenda (Ascda) is a very popular vandaceous hybrid. It is easier to grow than Vanda and has larger flowers than Ascocentrum.
I got this just after moving into the greenhouse and it produced spikes soon after I got it. It has bloomed every year.
Even with blooming every year it never developed strong roots and grew very little. Since I moved it to Sonoma it has done much better in the slightly dryer environment. I didn't know it was possible to over water vandaceous orchids.
