  1. I have a yahoo account and I stopped using it because too many legit messages get marked as spam. Same if I write to yahoo addresses from my gmail many of my messages get blocked.

I lost an assignment offer that would have provided a decent fee because yahoo junked that message.

It is really annoying. I prefer to have a false negatives in my in box than false positives in my spam folder.
Wish yahoo could let tweak the spam filtering. sorry if it is not totally related but I think it is quite an issue.

  2. I go to the other end of the spam spectrum with no filtering of emails but with the content scanned. Too many people forget about making the subject specific enough to be noticed among the generic subjects. I seem to have hit a peak and the spam level is pretty steady for me.

I get orchid related questions without any real indication in the subject. I hope I have caught them all since I respond to any I notice.

My email address is on the home page of if anybody wants to contact me.
