My notes say that it came from the member sale table at the SFOS but that doesn't seem right. Maybe it was $2 or some such amount. I don't buy Dendrobium hybrids.

I moved it from the Napa Greenhouse to Sonoma last summer. It had grown some in Napa but had not bloomed. Sonoma is dryer, brighter and warmer than Napa. Cattleyas and Dendrobiums do very well there.

These PNG hybrid flowers are interesting and very long lasting. I only learned recently that they are actually the majority of Den species. Since we mostly see the hard-cane hybrids in the Big Box stores, I always thought of them as the majority, but they are only a small group of species.
