Moving into summer

The 'Control panel' in the greenhouse, all off the shelf itemsAs the orchid collection is evolving and the season has definitely changed, adjustments need to be made in the greenhouse. The first is watering frequence. With as many mounted orchids as I have, I need to water daily in warm weather.

The biggest change is in cooling. My greenhouse uses overhead misters for cooling. The change is that there is no cooling until the temperature reaches 90. In past years I had it come on lower if it was less that 50% humidity. Now that the cold/cool growers are almost gone, I can go higher, both nighttime and daytime.

I always have described my greenhouse as "intermediate" but now I think I should change to "warm".
