Normally I like to identify orchids but that is not always possible. There are two of these plants in Sonoma with the tags written in ink. Unfortunately, ink fades in light and so I can't read any part of the name.
Any ideas on what this is?
An orchidist can add to his collection inexpensively if he can work with backbulbs and orchid rescues. There is no single method for sprouting backbulbs. The main ingredient is practice, practice, practice.

Looks like a B. nodosa hybrid of some kind, perhaps with a larger splash petal hybrid.
