Peninsula Orchid Society Show and Sale

January 22-23, at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Ave, Redwood City, CA. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. both days This will include the orchid show, presentations and demonstrations, member sales area, and vendor sales area. Adult admission only $5. Seniors, disabled, and children 12-16 admitted for $3. Parking is free.

The spring show and sale season is starting. These are fun events and a chance to see some orchids at their best. The Peninsula Orchid Society show is a good one. It is medium sized and lots to see.

Founded in 1946, the POS is a society of about 250 orchid enthusiasts and professional growers serving the San Francisco Peninsula. Their mission is to increase the awareness, appreciation, enjoyment, conservation, and cultivation of orchids. They hold monthly meetings as well as organize plant sales, shows, and bus trips to local nurseries. The Peninsula Orchid Society is a nonprofit organization, affiliated with the American Orchid Society.
