Colmanara Wildcat 'Leopard'

Colmanara Wildcat 'Leopard' - Flower photo by Richard LindbergColmanara Wildcat 'Leopard' - Plant photo by Richard LindbergThe flowers on this Colmanara Wildcat 'Leopard' caught me by surprise. The plant was on the second tier of the west-facing bench and the spike was growing straight under the top tier toward the greenhouse wall. It was well hidden and I didn't spot it until the flowers were fully open.

This was a backbulb division growing its fourth pseudobulb. It had bloomed on the third last year. I often find that the third pseudobulb will bloom. This fourth pseudobulb is smaller that it should have been. I will clean it and re-pot, probably in a larger pot. I have to see the roots to decide the pot size.
