C guatemalensis x Mem Helen Brown 'Sweet Abton' AM/AOS

Cattleya guatemalensis x Mem Helen Brown 'Sweet Abton' AM/AOS - Flower photo by Richard LindbergA local collector is having a collection reduction sale. Normally I wouldn't expect much and have actually had mixed results from plants. In this case, I was looking forward to going and had high expectations. I was not dissapointed and spent all the way up to the maximum I had available.

Cattleya guatemalensis x Mem Helen Brown 'Sweet Abton' AM/AOS - Plant photo by Richard LindbergThis collector is in the process of becoming a Cymbidium judge and I wanted some pendant and cascading Cyms to go in my sheltered outdoor area. I bought six and bought some Catts too. This is one of of the Catts.

This plant is in bark over peanuts in a 5-inch plastic pot. There are four pseudobulbs and stands fourteen inches above the pot. If it had not been in bloom I would have bypassed it because of the size. I left it on the table at first but came back for it in the end. I like the peach and red and it just spoke to me.
