Miki from our Google+ mini-forum reminded me that the Diablo View Orchid Society Orchid Fair is on Oct. 15-16 (next Sat/Sun) at the Concord Hilton (1970 Diamond Boulevard, Concord, CA) from 10:00 - 4:00 both days. Admission is FREE. There will be AOS judging, ribbon judging, culture sessions, door prizes, raffles, member plant sales, and vendors(Bartsch Tropicals [carnivorous plants], Gold Country Orchids, Golden Gate Orchids, Orchids and Gardens, Napa Valley Orchids, and Olompali Orchids.)
Miki and I are going to meet on Saturday morning. That will be fun. If you will be going too, let me know, I would like to meet you too. While I'm there, I am going to keep my wallet closed as much as possible but am not likely to get out without buying something from the member sale table.
