Rain Day

Our first rain has come and that makes more difference to greenhouse growing than I understood. I lost many roots one year by continuing summer watering through October. The days are shorter and cloudy days combine to reduce the overall light available to the plants and they start to need less water. I turned the automatic watering off and will run myself and use a pump sprayer to water the mounts to limit the water getting to plants in pots.

I will get a chance to work in the sheltered area. It will be good to have a place to keep dry while potting. I don't have a real potting bench. I have been using a TV tray, a stool, a big pan and two buckets as a potting setup. It has actually worked pretty well.
