Although Encyclia bracteata is considered a summer blooming orchid, I can find one or two flowers open almost any time of year. 
Of course, it is summer in the greenhouse all the time with a base temperature of above 60f where the plant is hanging.
Encyclia bracteata grows in Brazil in low elevation forests. It is fragrant, warm growing and blooms in summer. The genus Encyclia (Encycl) contains 240 species that grow throughout all of tropical America and the West Indies. They prefer intermediate conditions and a long, dry winter rest.
