RL34

I got this NOID plant in december. There are two other divisions. One of the first rules in dividing orchids is not to rush. Don't cut anything until the medium is gone. Don't cut a rhizome where you are not sure what is attached. I cut too soon and ended up with a single pseudobulb division instead of a five pseudobulb division.

I am curious about the flower. I was tempted to toss the single PB, but potted it instead. The color has turned from green to red meaning that it is getting more light than it had. It might bloom now since I don't think any of the pseudobulbs has bloomed.

  1. Yes Richard, it is that time of the year. I have been going through my cattleyas and almost re potting everything. I had to comment about this plant. It looks like a brassavola nodosa 'Mas Mejor' AM/AOS division of mine. I had one single growth drop off, while tying into a new basket. Good luck with your re potting.
