Cattleya CH4067

Cattleya CH4067 - Flower photo by Richard LindbergI have a really beautiful Cattleya hybrid. Its only flaw is that the tag was lost so I don't know for sure what it is. It has a very distinctive look and I believe that it is an early version of Cattleya Pamela Hetherington. Before coming to me it had been in Steve Christoffersen's personal collection for many years.

When I divided the large plant it had a single lead and was going over the edge of the pot. I took it apart and got a well rooted lead division. I also got three divisions out of the eight remaining backbulbs. These had leaves but no good roots. I put them all outside it clay pots and rock.

The first of these has already sprouted. I am going to sell them in a just-sprouted state like this because these are full-sized plants and would be very expensive to ship potted. If I knew for sure what the plant was I might have waited and got more for them. This one is already promised but I'm sure the other two will sprout soon.

I will email you later today.
