This nice little white Phal came to me at an odd moment so I just set it down on a bench in the greenhouse, then promptly forgot about it. It had just finished blooming and the stem had already been cut. It has now re-bloomed. I think it is worth mentioning for a couple of reasons.

One reason is that it re-bloomed from the very lowest node. I wasn't expecting that one to sprout. I might be because it was the only node left after the cut. As you can see, the stem died back to just above the sprout.

The main reason for pointing this plant out is that it is alive at all. In fact, it seems to be doing well with strong new growth. It should have died from crown rot and root loss. It gets water ever day from the misters above it.

  1. Linda ela, e pela primeira vez, consegui fazer uma Phalaenopsis florir em casa., cortei a haste floral e depois de um ano duas hastes novas.
