Cattleya CH4067

I am sad that the tag was lost. This is a great plant and fragrant too! My best guess is that is is an early Catt Pamela Hetherington variety, before the awarded 'Coronation' because of how long the previous owner had it. But I can't find any pictures where the red is as wide as it is on my flowers.

It will stay there until it finishes blooming. By then I will have finished cleaning the greenhouse for the next owner to use. There is some repair work needed before moving in a new collection that I was unwilling to do because I don't own the structure.

Cattleya CH4067 in August 2012

I potted this backbulb division last August. I had sprouted it in rock. There was one sprout and an active eye that I hoped would become a second lead. The eye still looks as if it will sprout. I think the plant will do better if I separate the parts and put them in smaller pots. The pot it too big but the way the pseudobulbs were arranged it needed that much space.
