I am always amazed that a plant that has had no water at all for four months can bloom. In fact, if it is watered during the winter it won't bloom.

Dendrobium lindleyi grows from India to Vietnam. It is warm to hot growing and needs a dry winter rest. As the flowers mature, the color deepens. The plant puts on a good display and the flowers last long enough to get to an orchid society meeting to show off.
