Dendrochilum tenellum

Dendrochilum tenellum - Flower photo by Richard LindbergDendrochilum tenellum - Flower photo by Richard LindbergDendrochilum tenellum - Plant photo by Richard LindbergIt is probably a little too early to start selling on EBay, but I have a lot of plants to sell this year. I am going to list a single plant on Monday at 4pm to see how it does. This is specimen sized plant. It is a bit unusual and a nice addition if you have other Dendrochilum species. I am going to leave the old flowers on, you can cut them. The plant is not in bloom now. This plant is in a 4 1/2-inch plastic pot. It has not been re-potted for a long time.

Dendrochilum tenellum grows in the Philippines at altitudes from 3000 to 7000 feet. It is cool to warm growing and blooms in winter. The genus Dendrochilum (Dend) contains 150 species from Burma to the Philippines. Water well. Hates to have the roots disturbed and takes a year to recover from re-potting.
