Slc Circle of Life x L anceps Flask

In 2007 I got my first flask. It was Sophrolaeliocattleya Circle of Life 'Top Catt' x Laelia anceps 'Feathered Flame' CHM/AOS. Stewart was closing down and I wanted a piece of history and it was affordable. There were perhaps fourty plants in the flask. Today there is one left.

As you can see, it is barely surviving. I found it in my search for greenhouse space. I would like to save it, but I have a poor record with flasks and seedlings. I don't give them the attention they need.

I am going to repot and bring it indoors for the winter. I have a section of my desk that is by a window. It is an east window with a fence so not a lot of light gets in. It is not bright enough to get plants to flower, but I am not worried about that just now. I want it where I can see it and not get lost in the greenhouse again.

  1. You made the right decision in keeping it on life support by repotting and moving close to the area where you can monitor her progress. She will turn to a beauty in a year or two. Maria Palanca
